This year we are proud to be able to offer salmon and trout fishing on
one of the world's most famous and exclusive fly fishing rivers, the
river Itchen.
People
travel from far and wide to experience this quintessential English
fishing experience. For 2008 onwards, we have negotiated fishing on a
wonderful stretch of the Itchen, at a truly amazing price. As many
anglers are aware, it's very difficult to secure day ticket fishing on
this famous river, and so we are delighted to be able to offer a choice
of 5 double bank beats on a beautiful 3 ½ mile stretch of the river.
This is the longest stretch of the Itchen in private ownership.
The beats all have different qualities giving a good variety with white
water pools, faster riffled stretches and deep pools, providing
excellent sport.
Crystal clear water, set amidst picturesque water meadows with an abundance of animal, bird and insect life, this is the place that anglers all over the country have on their wish-list to fish.
If you are fishing with us out of the trout and salmon season, we can highly recommend fly fishing for Grayling. You are not confined to one particular beat, so this is a unique chance to sample a nice long stretch of the river. There's nothing like a clear and crisp autumn morning with a 'Lady of the Stream' in your sights...
